On Sunday, Antifa members in Portland, Oregon vandalized Oregon’s Democratic Party headquarters during a remembrance event which was held for an Antifa activist that was killed.
The event named “Light The Sky For Sean” saw Antifa use fireworks and flares in honor of the 23-year-old Sean Kealiher who was recently killed by blunt force trauma in a hit and run outside Cider Riot, a popular pub thronged by Antifa members.
Portland Antifa refused to cooperate with the police and urged other members to not provide any information regarding the suspect to the police.
KATU reported that police are investigating Kealiher’s death as homicide. Sgt. Allen said, “Detectives will examine evidence we have now, talking to witnesses, seeking witnesses, and trying to get more information from them, not only about what happened at the scene of the crime, but what led up to it.”
Rose City Antifa while claiming Kealiher to be a well-known member of the organization took to Twitter to claim, “Our sources indicate that this was not related to fascist activity.”
Rally-goers during the demonstration that continued well into early hours of Monday morning spray painted anarchist symbols on the Dem Party’s headquarters which is ironic because the Democratic party is the party that supports Antifa.
