Biden wants transgenders to reach their ‘God-given potential,’ which would be their God-given birth sex, right?

The leftist/Democrat obsession with transgenderism was front and center in the March 1 State of the Union address, with Joe Biden even proclaiming that rejecting your God-given, real gender is a way to “reach your God-given potential.”

In a nod to a voter group he would like to keep safely Democrat, Biden called on Congress to “finally” pass the Equality Act, which would force Americans to ignore the scientific fact of gender along with trampling on their religious views, reported DailyMail.com.

He then drifted, in true Biden style, into even deeper incoherence.

“The onslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong,” the president said. “As I said last year, especially to our younger transgender Americans, I will always have your back as your President, so you can be yourself and reach your God-given potential.”

More conservative governors and lawmakers in many states are trying to block the practice of parents physically “changing” their children’s genders through surgery and chemical therapies. Texas governor Greg Abbott recently ordered state child welfare officials to launch investigations into families trying to twist their children in this way. Alabama lawmakers are looking at a similar bill.

Earlier in 2022 South Dakota governor Kristi Noem signed a bill banning trans youth from participating in school sports as a gender other than their own, a practice that has led to men who masquerade as women bizarrely dominating real women’s sports leagues.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, who gave the Republican rebuttal to Biden’s speech, says she supports similar legislation currently in the Iowa legislature, and in Florida lawmakers are debating a bill that would ban discussion of homosexuality in classrooms.

At the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida last weekend, a number of Republican politicians brought up the issue of trans women playing in women’s sports.

The Equality Act would add transgender people to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It passed the progressive House of Representatives last February, but has remained stalled in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
