Call the mass murder of Christians what it is: genocide

By the Christian Action Network

Christians and other ethnic and religious minorities in the Middle East are currently being targeted by Islamic extremists for harassment, displacement and outright slaughter. One hundred and seventy members of the United States Congress are co-sponsoring legislation to declare the murderous actions of ISIS as “genocide” and a “war crime.” The Christian Action Network has begun a petition to support passage of this resolution by the Senate.

Don't 'blame the victim' for bad behavior

By Martin Mawyer

Bad behavior. Who is to blame? Who is ultimately at fault?

Nowadays, the blame is increasingly being placed upon the victim of the bad behavior.

Bear with me as I explain, because if you ever wondered how Islam could eventually conquer America, the answer can be found in this discussion.

Yes, Obama, we are a Christian nation

By Martin Mawyer

Few debates seem to be more contentious – and arouse greater passion – than the argument over this question: Is America a Christian nation?

The question itself is ambiguous. Are we talking about the founding of America? The people of America? The government of America? The morality of America?

Don't like being treated like a terrorist? Don't look like one

By Alec Rooney

A recent incident on the UK’s Thomson Airways provides yet another example of blame-the-victimism: the state of mind in which the fallout from terrorist attacks is blamed on everyone but terrorists.

The UK’s MailOnline reported Wednesday on a well-off British-born Muslim (who works for his millionaire father) who was asked to get off a flight from Manchester, UK to North Africa “because of his faith and his beard.”

'Migrant' flood will sink western values

By Alec Rooney

A terrible paradox is at work as Muslims from the Middle East keep flooding into Europe, Britain and the United States, often with material help of western countries’ respective leaders.

Why are they coming?

Simple. They are coming because the west offers things that they do not have ...

That hypocrite: Rep. Don Beyer

By Martin Mawyer

He’s a hypocrite. No, this is not name-calling. It’s not hateful rhetoric. It’s just the plain truth.

Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) has introduced H. Res. 569, a foolish piece of legislation condemning “hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States.” The legislation already has 105 co-sponsors, all Democrats, with more supporters jumping in every day.

Man held in Texas mosque fire that terrified Muslims ... is himself a Muslim

By Alec Rooney

The Christian Action Network commented on Dec. 29 on the fears of Muslims in Houston after a fire broke out in their strip-mall mosque in broad daylight.

Our exact phrasing was that the fire was:

“ … under investigation, and has already been determined to have been intentionally set. No suspects yet, though, and the fire curiously broke out in the early afternoon on Christmas day.”

Well, an arrest has been made in the arson.

So you're feeling a little scared, U.S. Muslims? To be honest, so are we

By Alec Rooney

A recent story from The Houston Chronicle goes into great detail about how Muslims in that Texas city are “on edge” after bloody, high-profile terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif.

They’re afraid someone might attack or hurt them, for crimes they didn’t commit. They worry that angry people will target them for things they didn’t do.

My initial reaction? WELCOME TO THE CLUB.

Trump's ultimatum could be the ultimate good deal

By Martin Mawyer
and
Alec Rooney

Donald Trump is not bigoted, he’s not racist, and he’s not (here’s an old favorite) acting like Hitler.

Donald Trump is a dealmaker, and what he did this week was epic. He offered a solution to Islamic terrorism. It’s not a complete solution, but it’s a workable one. He did it the way a dealmaker does.

74 years after Pearl Harbor, a new attack is unfolding

By Alec Rooney

So, it's Pearl Harbor Day.

You know what that is, right?

It's when we commemorate how Americans forced non-white American people into camps, after irrational mass paranoia that drove white people into hysterical rage against people who didn't look like us.

Of course it was all caused by a militaristic country on the other side of the Pacific, which decided it needed to take out the U.S. Pacific Fleet if it wanted to continue growing its empire. Their early-morning air attack destroyed many naval vessels and an airfield, killed nearly 2,400 U.S. servicemen, and woke Americans up to a whole new kind of anger.

But that's not the important part, right?

Is it 'unchristian' to resist forced settlement of refugees?

A statement from Christian Action Network

When we announced our recent petition drive to keep Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe from settling Syrian refugees in our home state (it’s still open; sign it here), the negative reactions on our Facebook page all had a similar tone: that we are “unchristian” for opposing a huge, hasty and very political importation of strangers into our midst from a region known for terrorism and extremist violence.

So how does one answer this common leftist charge?

A Suicide Note

By Martin Mawyer

Type the word “Muslim” into any news aggregator after the Nov. 13 Paris terrorist attacks and you’re going to see headlines that follow a predictable theme:

The true victims of Friday night’s massacre were not the Parisian westerners who were simply eating, enjoying a sporting event or listening to music before they were  slaughtered. The true victims were … Muslims!

Paris: The Islamist knife is now out of its sheath

By Alec Rooney

What we are witnessing this weekend in Paris is only the latest, bloodiest advance of Islam into Europe. And even though Europe's churches stand empty and its leaders clear the way for more invaders, this is nonetheless also an advance into the Christian-founded, Christianity-infused, peaceful and prosperous West.

Nothing less.

Push the Islamic cuckoo egg out of our nest

By Alec Rooney

The cowbird (in America) and the cuckoo (in Europe) both have a sneaky way of carrying on their species. Both birds are called brood parasites. The mother bird and her mate build no nest, but instead lay their eggs in the nest of some other bird species.

Very often, the host bird never quite gets what has happened. She raises a big cuckoo or cowbird baby that will even push her real chicks out of the nest.
