‘HomeGrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around U.S.’ CAN Works Around the Clock Due to Blockbuster Response.

(March 1, 2009) If anyone had predicted the tremendous success of the Christian Action Network's documentary film, "Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around U.S.," they should have told the organization so they could prepare. Jason Campbell, one of the film's directors, explains, "…our initial purpose for creating this documentary film was to have it available for law enforcement. We simply wanted to duplicate enough copies to distribute in the areas where these 35 terrorist compounds exist to help educate the citizens about the danger associated with 'Muslims of America.'"

On February 17, 2009, Sean Hannity invited Martin Mawyer, the President of CAN and producer of the film to appear on his highly-rated Fox News television show. Hannity praised the film, saying "…it is a shocking look at the jihad coming to America." After the live interview in New York, Mawyer had the opportunity to personally discuss with Mr. Hannity certain intelligence information about these compounds that were not allowed to be discussed on the air for security reasons.

After the American people learned of the terrorist compounds inside of their country, the demand for the documentary was overwhelming. Campbell recalls, "That evening after Martin Mawyer appeared on Hannity's show, the CAN website crashed. I immediately had our web designer load a simple page with my cell phone number for people to order a copy of the film. Because I was in New York with Martin at the time, I became aware of why they say that 'New York never sleeps.' I was answering calls all night long."

The next morning, CAN had its website running to fulfill orders for the documentary. Since then, Martin Mawyer has recruited Ryan Mauro, the organization's national security researcher, to help handle the immense amount of media requests which continue to come in. The organization's media presence due to its investigations into radical Islam in the United States has become immeasurable and continues to grow.

CAN now has a bulk ordering program for "Homegrown Jihad;" an ideal discount for churches and civic groups.
