Facebook Blacklists Watson, Loomer Farrakhan, Yiannopolos and Nehlen

The Daily Mail – Facebook removed numerous far-right and anti-Semitic leaders from its platforms, saying they violated its policies against dangerous individuals and organizations.

Banned from Facebook and Instagram are Alex Jones and his site Infowars, right-wing personalities Milo Yiannopoulos, Paul Joseph Watson and Laura Loomer, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and Paul Nehlen, a white nationalist who ran for Congress in 2018.

They are banned from creating accounts on the platforms, but users will be able to publish posts supporting their viewpoints. Some links to videos, articles and other content by these figures will be taken down. The crackdown comes as Facebook was criticized for failure to curb spreding misinformation.
