Girl Humiliated, Castigated in Class for Choosing Trump as Hero

Bella Moscato suffered bigotry in the face of her classmates at Samoset Middle School, Long Island, N.Y., as her teacher rebuked her in class (before her classmates) for choosing U.S. President Donald Trump as her hero figure to write about, even as among her classmates were those who chose Democrat Party figures including former President Barack Obama. The Liberty Eagle – Some Lake Ronkomkoma, N.Y., parents are outraged after their daughter was forbidden from choosing President Donald Trump as a class-project hero as another student chose Barack Obama.

(As assigned) sixth graders at Samoset Middle School chose figures they looked up to, then wrote reports on why that person was a heroic figure. Bella Moscato did her report on the President, but she wasn’t met with the support other students received.

In front of her classmates, her teacher barred her from choosing Trump for the project, telling her to find a new hero. In response to the parents, the school board announced they would not discuss the incident in public.
