A 12 Billion Dollar Disaster in the Making
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more scandalous, here comes another bombshell from the dangerous, drug-ridden, rat-infested streets of the Big Apple, courtesy of the ever-floundering captain of the ship, Mayor Eric Adams.
Now he’s wringing his hands, openly admitting that his beloved ship is headed straight towards an iceberg and is about to sink before his very eyes.
The influx of migrants overflowing the city’s hotels, homeless shelters, and streets might literally “destroy” the iconic city we once knew, Adams claims.
Here we have a mayor, standing there with nothing less than utter defeat etched across his face, declaring he doesn’t see an end to this harrowing saga.
“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers,” Adams told furious residents at a town hall meeting on Wednesday, “Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City!”
It is no less than a doomsday scenario of biblical proportions.
We are talking about tens of thousands of migrants pouring into the city every single month, turning revered landmarks into nothing more than makeshift shelters.
It’s not just an insult to the heritage of this city but an outright assault on the sensibilities of every New Yorker who has to witness the historic Redbury and Roosevelt hotels being transformed into exclusive migrant accommodations.
Meanwhile, the common New Yorker, those who have built and sustained this city, are caught in a perpetual state of limbo, watching as their once magnificent city succumbs to chaos and lawlessness.
The streets are boiling over with rage as clashes erupt in every borough. Yet, the only solution Adams seems to muster is to turn precious city landmarks into temporary housing units, an appalling misuse of the city’s resources.
And it doesn’t stop there. At this moment, a staggering 57,000 migrants are inhabiting New York’s homeless shelters, making up over half the total occupancy.
It is simply beyond comprehension.
And what will New Yorkers have to pay for this disaster, apparently without end?
A whopping 12 billion dollars in the next three years, an amount that quite frankly makes one’s head spin. An emergency has been declared, leaving New York in a perilous state of “you made your bed, now lie in it.”
It’s clear the city’s bows are fractured, and at the helm is a mayor without a compass, unable to navigate the treacherous waters he finds himself in and, like the Titanic, woefully short of lifeboats.
It is a humanitarian crisis of unparalleled proportions, spreading like wildfire across major metros nationwide due to the rampant negligence of Democrat politicians and their love affair with open borders, leaving citizens to pick up the pieces while leadership fails them at every turn.
It’s not just a failure. It’s an absolute travesty.
