Let's be clear on one important point: Arafat "the martyr of Islam" was no Muslim. He was a devoted Marxist-Leninist and a KGB agent. He was also a homosexual and pedophile.
For those readers who are unaware of his shady background, here is a summary of this so-called martyr's history of terrorism, murder and genocide:
Arafat came to the attention of the Soviet Union following the 1967 Six-Day War, in which Israel trounced Egypt and Syria, both of which were Soviet client states. The Kremlin was furious, so it launched a campaign to "repair the prestige of our Arab friends" by helping them organize Islamic terrorist attacks that would humiliate Israel, according to Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest-ranking intelligence officer ever to defect from the Soviet Union.
In the 1960s Pacepa, while working for the Soviet Union, helped craft a false biography for Arafat, who was born Rahman al-Qudwa in Egypt. Arafat had shown such a penchant for violence and "filth" that he was the perfect puppet for the Soviets. Arafat was also a voracious homosexual. The Kremlin managed to tape Arafat's sex sessions with men and boys, putting him completely in the hands of his Soviet masters.
In his book "Red Horizons," Pacepa wrote: "
“I just called the microphone monitoring center to ask about the ‘Fedayee,’” Arafat’s code name, explained Munteaunu (a Communist general assigned to teach Arafat Soviet-style deception techniques. “After the meeting with the Comrade, he went directly to the guest house and had dinner. At this very moment, the ‘Fedayee’ is in his bedroom making love to his bodyguard. The one I knew was his latest lover. He’s playing tiger again. The officer monitoring his microphones connected me live with the bedroom, and the squawling almost broke my eardrums. Arafat was roaring like a tiger, and his lover yelping like a hyena.”
Arafat was made president of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, now the PA (Palestinian Authority) in 1964 with Russian assistance. He immediately launched a terror campaign, taking Israeli athletes hostage at the Munich Olympics. All 11 hostages were eventually assassinated.
He was characterized as "so much cleverness, blood, and filth all together in one man." Author J.R. Nyquist, writing in 2000, said definitively that "Arafat is no Moslem. His fanaticism is completely secular. But since he operates within the Islamic world, he must sometimes appear as a would-be Muslim liberator."
Nyquist also wrote: "What should be remembered, what we always seem to forget, is that Russia was the leading sponsor of international terrorism during the Cold War. Russia trained some of the world’s most notorious terrorists -- from Carlos 'the Jackal' to Yasser Arafat." In sum, Arafat was a Soviet agent, bankrolled by the Soviets until his strange death in 2004.
Many speculate that he died of AIDS, although when his body was exhumed in 2012 traces of the deadly poison polonium were found. This type of poison is a particular favorite of the Russians, but the real cause of his death is still not officially determined.
Islamic martyr? No way. A better epitaph would be "killer, terrorist and monster."

The Palestinian Authority (PA) is cracking down on dissidents, Palestinian Media Watch reports Monday, after it arrested a man for "slandering" Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) leader and arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat as not being a "martyr."
"The [PA] General Intelligence Service arrested today [April 25, 2015] Khalil Ali Afaneh, a clerk at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Abu Dis, after he attacked and slandered Yasser Arafat, the eternal Martyr leader and the symbol of the Palestinian people," official WAFA news reported last week.
Non-official daily Donia al-Watan gave more details about the arrest, explaining it stemmed after Afaneh commented on a Facebook post which blamed Fatah's defeat in student elections at Birzeit University on its identification with Arafat.
In addition, "activists on Facebook called on Birzeit University to expel the student for having attacked Martyr Yasser Arafat," it explained.
"Simultaneously, several figures with close ties to Birzeit University's administration stated that the university has decided to expel the student and issue a letter on behalf of the Ministry of Education prohibiting any university in the homeland from admitting the student."
This is not the first time the PA has responded violently to suppress free speech. In June 2014, security forces savagely beat protesting journalists in Ramallah, who were in turn protesting attacks on journalists attempting to cover tensions between Fatah and Hamas.
