One News Now. Texas is considering a school policy that would allow sex education to be taught to students as young as kindergarteners. But a family values spokesperson says parents have the opportunity to have significant input to the curriculum.
The Texas State Board of Education will not vote on the new policy until September 2020. In the meantime, Mary Elizabeth Castle of Texas Values says as many parents as possible are being urged to fill out an online survey about the proposal.
“Parents are rightly concerned about the local school districts promoting radical sex education,” says the Texas Values attorney. “But with the current discussions on healthstandards, parents will have an opportunity to ensure that there are healthy, pro-family standards statewide.”
