Alabama Law Aims to Induce the Abortion of Roe-v-Wade

The Daily Mail – Alabama lawmakers proposed a law that would make performing an abortion a crime punishable by up to 99 years in prison, in a move they hope will lead to a new Supreme Court precedent on abortion.

The bill was introduced to the Alabama state Senate and House Tuesday, and would make performing an abortion a Class-A felony and attempting an abortion a Class-C felony.

The law would not punish women who seek or obtain abortions and exempts cases where abortions would prevent serious health risks to the mother. In dramatic language, the bill describes the estimated 50 million abortions carried out in the U.S. . . .
