The Forum – Police charged a Manhattan man with assault as a hate crime in a subway attack on a female who was riding a Manhattan bound E train last month. Allasheed Allah, 54, of 109th Street, subjected the woman to homophobic slurs before physically assaulting her.
“Queens County is the most diverse county in the nation,” District Attorney (sic) Brown said. “It is home to many races, nationalities and sexual orientations. Crimes motivated by bias – particularly those involving violence – will never be tolerated in this county.”
Allah is presently jailed pending arraignment in Queens Criminal Court on charges of second- and third-degree assault as a hate crime and second-degree aggravated harassment.
