The Black Lives Matter organization has showed its true colors by siding with Hamas against Israel, FOX News is reporting.
The announcement was made on Twitter, now an anti-American extremism clearinghouse, with BLM declaring “solidarity with Palestinians” on May 17, a week after Hamas began firing dozens of rockets into Israel from Gaza, hitting civilian targets as well as firing some wild shots and destroying buildings within its territory.
“Black Lives Matter stands in solidarity with Palestinians,” tweeted the group. “We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all forms and will continue to advocate for Palestinian liberation. ( always have. And always will be ). #freepalestine.”
“Thank you for your solidarity,” the left-wing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, or BDS, tweeted in reply. “From Ferguson to Palestine, our struggles against racism, white supremacy and for a just world are united!”
BDS has for years called for an economic embargo of Israel.
At least 12 Israelis and 213 Palestinians have been killed in the violence over the past eight days. More than 100 Israelis and 1,400 Palestinians had been wounded as of May 18.
The conflict flared up on May 10 when Hamas started firing rockets into Jerusalem after a violent clash between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters at the Al-Aqsa mosque. This sparked Israeli counterattacks and numerous uses of Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.
Leftist groups and politicians as usual blame Israel for the violence, describing the country as an “apartheid state” committing “war crimes” and other atrocities on Palestinian civilians.
Hamas habitually treats Palestinians like human shields, attracting airstrikes on high-rise buildings that share space with civilians, getting civilians killed and then calling in world media for bloody, emotional photo ops.
