A battle is quietly unfolding in Washington that could have major implications for America’s national security.
Members of Congress are considering H.R. 8236, legislation that would designate the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a terrorist organization. Supporters of the bill argue that CAIR has long operated as a front for the Muslim Brotherhood while presenting itself to the public as a mainstream civil rights organization.
Christian Action Network is actively supporting this congressional effort and is launching a nationwide grassroots campaign to encourage Americans to make their voices heard.
CAIR has deployed an army of 50,000 lawyers, journalists, filmmakers, and influencers who are actively embedding themselves in our institutions, rewriting our history, and poisoning the minds of our children.
“For decades, CAIR has portrayed itself as a harmless advocacy organization,” said Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network. “We believe the evidence demonstrates a far different reality, and Congress now has an opportunity to act.”
According to Christian Action Network, the campaign consists of three major initiatives:
- Supporting congressional efforts to advance H.R. 8236.
- Producing investigative documentaries examining Islamist influence in America.
- Mobilizing grassroots citizens to contact lawmakers and participate in a nationwide survey campaign.
Christian Action Network believes public involvement is critical while Congress considers the legislation. The organization plans to deliver survey results from supporters to thousands of congressional offices in Washington as part of its advocacy effort.
