Congressman blasts bill requiring feds to survey kids about their sexual orientation

Rep. Glenn Grothman

A Republican congressmen is ruffling the very fragile tail feathers of the gay lobby, condemning Democrats’ and the current White House’s embrace of June as a gay “pride” month and the flying of rainbow flags symbolizing homosexuality at U.S. embassies around the world.

Notably, Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI) also lambasted the LGBTQI+ Data Equality Act in a public appearance. That act would, outrageously, turn federal agencies into gatherers of data about Americans’ sexual preferences.

Grothman gave his views on a live stream by Intercessors For America (IFA) in early July, according to LGBTQNation. IFA is a nonprofit Christian prayer group.

“You can imagine if you’re in a foreign country and you see the American embassy and you view it as representative of the American government, representative of the hope America is to the world, and you see the gay flag? It’s like, ‘What’s that? Well, apparently, maybe that’s the secret to America’s wealth and prosperity.’ So it’s just absolutely a horrible thing.”

The State Department revealed in June 2021 that the department would fly something called the “Progress” flag – a mashup of symbols for various kinds of confused sexual identity – for the first time. Antony Blinken, named Secretary of State by the dubious Biden Administration, also said U.S. ambassadors around the world have permission to fly the pride flag. In 2019 the Trump administration denied requests from U.S. embassies in Brazil, Germany, Israel and Latvia to fly the flag during “pride” month.

Speaking on the IFA stream, Grothman also denounced the LGBTQI+ Data Equality Act, passed last month by the Democrat-controlled House. If passed by the Senate and signed by the president, the bill would require more than 100 federal agencies to examine whether they should be asking Americans about their “LGBTQ identities” and recording the information. Grothman called that bill “repugnant.”

“Can you imagine asking an eight-year-old child, ‘What is your sexual preference?’” Grothman said. “But that’s what they want. I’m sure they want it to break down any innocence that the children have.”

Democrats are currently feeling the heat for grooming activities being uncovered in public schools: the inappropriate raising of sexual topics in the classrooms of children as young as kindergarteners.

Grothman also condemned the Biden administration for proudly announcing that it is giving grants to organizations “to promote atheism” abroad.

“Right now they are giving grants to nonprofit organizations around the world to promote atheism,” he said. “In essence when we promote atheism, we are telling people in other countries that America’s success was due to not believing in God.”
