Disney company heiress Abigail Disney, worth about $120 million and with a history of criticizing the generous paychecks of Disney CEOs, is suddenly sticking up for the embattled company that made it possible for her to be a wealthy left-wing activist.
Does she see some vulnerability for the gigantic company that is now speaking out in favor of grooming other people’s children to homosexuality?
In an April 1 Twitter thread the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney blasted what she describes as dark forces that have been somehow victimizing the titans of the business world to widen their evil domain, as reported by The Post Millennial.
In the long, multipart, and rambling rant, Disney wrote that “the right-wing has finally run amok and is coming to devour the hand that feeds it. Business.”
“For my part I am delighted,” she declared. “It is the business world that has been, either by act or omission, feeding the opportunist right-wing to distract [u]s with culture war nonsense while they rifle through the till and empty everyone’s pockets.”
She went on to assert that “this ‘anti-woke’ right-wing nonsense is unsupported by a large majority of Americans,” who evidently favor gay and transgender indoctrination of children, which a new law in Florida is specifically designed to head off.
The “Right Wing” has been running a campaign, she said, to stack the deck against the American People [and has] brought us this whole raft of Trump wannabe’s now casting about for new and more insidious ways to tear the country apart.”
There are signs that the Parents Rights in Education bill is actually popular; with current Walt Disney Company employee and candidate for Congress Jose Castillo saying that a “silent majority” of the company’s employees actually support the legislation.
A survey conducted by the Public Opinion Strategies group found that a majority of Americans support the bill’s text, which bars schools in the state from teaching children in kindergarten through third grade about sexual orientation or gender identity in an age-inappropriate manner. The survey said that 61 percent of voters agreed with the legislation and 26 percent opposed it.
Disney, described by Wikipedia as a documentary film producer and “social activist,” dismissed these people as “a minority.”
“You need two things to rule with a minority,” she wrote. “First, you need to be constantly looking for fresh meat to throw to the minions, to keep them riled up all the time. That works until the herd thins (remember Scar in Lion King?). So now they’ve come for American Businesses.
“But the second thing you need to rule with a minority is money, lots of it. You need the very deep pockets to fund you, yes, and if they don’t, you need them to sit quietly along the sidelines, out of your way. Until now, business has been content to do just that.”
