The Loudoun County, Va., school district is now the target of a lawsuit, after a female high school student was allegedly sexually assaulted in a school bathroom by a “transgender” male student wearing a skirt.
The district has been accused of trying to cover up the alleged incident, which might reflect poorly on the once-unheard-of practice of giving boys access to private spaces once reserved strictly for females. It’s one of many suggested special privileges and rights for transgender students that were recently passed by the Democrat-controlled Virginia state legislature and leftist Gov. Ralph Northam.
An Oct. 14 press release sent to FOX News by the Stanley Law Group in Virginia stated: “Attorneys for the family of the Stone Bridge High School student who was sexually assaulted in the girls’ restroom on May 28 by a boy claiming to be ‘gender fluid’ today announced they will pursue legal actions against Loudoun County under the provisions of Title IX.”
Speaking in the press release about their lawsuit and alleged assault against their daughter, Jess and Scott Smith said, “The sexual assault our daughter endured should never happen to any young girl, or any child, attending a public school.”
Their lawyer, Bill Stanley, added that the alleged assault against the Smiths’ daughter is “abhorrent.”
The law firm will also be representing Scott Smith against “wrongful and unconstitutional” disorderly-conduct and resisting arrest charges filed against him in Circuit Court after a scuffle broke out at a June 22 school board meeting.
Before Smith’s arrest at that meeting, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Superintendent Scott Ziegler said that “the predator transgender student or person simply does not exist,” and that to his knowledge, “we don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.”
In March, the Christian Action Network filed a lawsuit against Virginia’s school policy that allows boys to enter female bathrooms and locker rooms without providing any evidence of being transgender.
