When you lack the reasoning or persuasive ability to prevail over an argument, you can attack the individual. This appears to be what the FBI is doing, according to ranking House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan, as it seeks to suspend the security clearances and end the employment of agents with conservative views.
At the center of the purge is the rowdy protest of Jan. 6, 2021, when hundreds of thousands of Americans descended on the U.S. Capitol in an unprecedented protest of official corruption in Washington, stemming from the corrupt 202 presidential election.
According to DailyMail.com, Jordan made his allegations in a letter to the agency’s director dated June 7, just two days before the kickoff of the Jan. 6 hearings. In those hearings, corrupt Democrats and their many Republican allies are trying to create the narrative that the protest was some kind of terrorist act akin to 9-11 or Pearl Harbor.
The conservative Republican lawmaker said FBI employees are being targeted for suspension or pushed out over what they say about the march on the Capitol. The letter follows up on one from May that detailed examples of the FBI suspending security clearances of employees for their speech, which it rightly called “protected First Amendment activity.”
“Since our May 6 letter, we have received new protected whistleblower disclosures that suggest the FBI’s actions are far more pervasive than previously known,” the congressman alleged. “Multiple whistleblowers have called it a ‘purge’ of FBI employees holding conservative views.”
Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler and Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz both received copies of the letter.
Jordan’s letter cited several examples of employees who had been disciplined and/or suspended after sharing their personal views – which presumably FBI employees are permitted to have. One stated that the FBI was distorting or covering up the truth of Jan. 6; another criticized the bureau in a survey distributed to employees.
Jordan also told FOX News’ Laura Ingraham on Tuesday evening that a total of six FBI officials have approached the committee about retaliation from the agency related to their conservative viewpoints.
