The reasoning behind Florida’s new law to bar the teaching of homosexuality and transgenderism to children younger than fourth grade becomes ever clearer: Children are, in fact, being led straight into sexual deviancy in public schools.
A New Jersey public middle school recently forced students in a social studies class to watch a video about a transgender man’s hormone treatment, including his injecting himself with testosterone, all without notifying his parents.
The video details the “transition” of LGBT activist Aydian Dowling through hormone injections. Staff at Pearl R. Miller Middle School in Kinnelon, N.J., did not send home information about the lesson, which included definitions of different gender ideologies, the better to sow confusion in young developing minds.
Garden State Families reported parents being “outraged” about the lessons, and when they contacted the school board it became clear that board members were in the dark as well.
An assembly was also held, under the name “Stories of Adversity & Resilience Program.” Parents were able to opt-out but were not informed about the video and were unable to shield children from that, reports the Washington Free Beacon.
The social studies lessons included slideshows about gender identity, definitions, and gender ideology, of which parents were not aware until they were already over.
The school superintendent did not respond to the Free Beacon’s request for comment.
New Jersey could soon be another battleground where concerned parents battle public schools over radical sex education and the grooming of young children. The state is set to enact updated “health standards” in September, pushed of course by Democratic governor Phil Murphy, that teach second-graders about genitals, reproduction, and what is euphemistically called “gender expression.” The governor-appointed New Jersey Board of Education adopted the grooming program in 2020.
