Ilhan Omar, D-MN, Bucks for Muslim Brotherhood Sr.-Member Release

Clarion Project – Another week, another controversy surrounding Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who in a tweet demanded release of Hoda Abdelmonem, a Muslim Brotherhood senior member.

Adbelmonem, aka Abdel Moneim and Abdelmoneim, was detained in Egypt in November 2018. Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is known for cracking down on the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Islamist organization.

Despite Islamists in the West painting Muslim Brotherhood agents as civil rights leaders and humanitarians, it should be designated as a terror organization. The U.S. is long overdue in assigning that status to them as at least seven other countries worldwide have done, including Egypt.
