Taking a bunch of little kids’ television superheroes and completely sexualizing them: What could possibly be wrong or twisted about that.

Reports are suggesting that the upcoming Power Rangers series reboot will feature a transgender ranger, according to a breathless report by Pinknews. The Paramount Studios project will be directed by Jonathan Entwistle.

Rumors have begun to swirl that the show, which featured “Rangers” of different colors with unique skills (instead of unique sexual tastes) will feature a more “diverse” cast, which is often a euphemism for sexually perverted. In this case the perversion is being presented to children to normalize it in young minds.

One of the rangers, according to We Got This Covered, will be a trans woman, that is, a man who needs everyone to help him pretend he’s a woman. It remains unclear which character it will be.

Reports have previously stated that the Red Ranger may be female and that the Blue Ranger may be gay. This is getting confusing.

Plus, the remake of the franchise comes after another restart just three years ago, in which the Yellow Ranger, Trini, had to come to terms with her sexuality.

This is one mixed up set of Rangers, who have a lot of time on their hands.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the film’s release, director Dean Israelite said: “For Trini, really she’s questioning a lot about who she is. She hasn’t fully figured it out yet. … The movie is saying, ‘That’s OK,’ and all of the kids have to own who they are and find their tribe.”
