Hello, patriots! I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend with family and friends. This is Martin Mawyer, and I want to thank each and every one of you for tuning in to Shout Out Patriots. As always, I appreciate your unwavering support and your love for this great nation.
Today, we’re diving into a topic that should be making national headlines—but strangely, it isn’t.
I’m talking about a new mandate in Minnesota that should alarm every parent, teacher, and freedom-loving American.
Effective July 2025, new teacher licensing rules passed last year in Minnesota under the direction of Democrat Governor Tim Walz will effectively ban practicing Christians, Jews, and Muslims from teaching in public schools.
This is not an exaggeration, I assure you.
So, what exactly are these new rules that Kamala Harris’ vice-presidential running mate wants enforced?
Starting next July, Minnesota agencies will require teachers to affirm transgenderism and race Marxism if they want a license to teach. In simple terms, if you don’t bow down to the state’s ideological, anti-Christian demands, you’re out of a job. And that applies not only to public schools but also to private schools that require state licensure.
But it doesn’t stop there.
The latest version of these oppressive regulations requires teachers to ‘affirm’ students’ ‘gender identity’ and ‘sexual orientation’ just to receive a teaching license.
Even universities are getting dragged into this mess. If they refuse to train their teaching students to meet these anti-Christian requirements, they’ll be banned from offering state licensing—a de facto career death sentence for any aspiring educator in Minnesota.
Now, imagine if the tables were turned. What if, in order to get a license, teachers were required to affirm that there are only two sexes and that sex transitioning is not acceptable? That would be national, ear-piercing news, wouldn’t it? The liberal media would bombard you with so many sound bites, headlines, and teacher union outrages that your head would be spinning faster than a bobblehead in a windstorm.
The outcry would be deafening, with every news outlet shoving it in your face 24/7, as they did during Florida’s controversy over Ron DeSantis’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law. But when the script is flipped and the attack is on traditional values? Silence. Crickets. And that, patriots, is why we must be louder, stronger, and more vigilant than ever.
And think about this: if you live outside The North Star State and think this doesn’t concern you, think again. Governor Walz is Kamala Harris’s vice-presidential running mate. Could this be a glimpse into what’s coming on a national level, perhaps as a directive from the United States Department of Education? That thought hits close to home, doesn’t it?
And here’s another question: will Minnesota teachers soon be monitored for what they post on social media or what they say in church? Are we on the brink of seeing a return to snitch hotlines to tattle-tale on teachers who dare to think for themselves?
The implications here are profound, folks, and they should concern every single one of us who values freedom of speech and religion.
Let’s be clear: This isn’t just about Minnesota. What happens there could easily spread to other states—and beyond the teaching profession. Imagine similar mandates being imposed on doctors, lawyers, or any profession that requires a state license. Before we know it, this could become the national standard, threatening the freedoms of countless Americans across various fields.

Vermont’s War on ‘Son’ and ‘Daughter’
If you thought the Minnesota story was alarming, wait until you hear what’s happening in Vermont.
It seems the state is on a mission to erase even the most basic terms we use to describe our own families. That’s right—Vermont’s Department of Health is now advising parents to stop using words like “son” and “daughter.”
Why?
Because, according to them, these words aren’t “inclusive” enough. The same state that once prided itself on common sense is now telling us that “sons” and “daughters” are outdated terms that need to be replaced with “child” or “kid.”
Now, let’s take a step back and really think about this. What’s the real reason behind this push?
Even if a boy transitions into a girl, they’d still be called “daughter,” right? So, how exactly is the word “daughter” not inclusive? I’m left confused, as I’m sure you are too, and it begs the question, “Why?”
Why is Vermont so determined to wipe out the concept of sons and daughters?
The goal here seems clear: to dismantle the very idea of male and female, and in doing so, erase the historical and biological realities that have been foundational to society.
This naturally raises another question: Why is this so important to them?
One can only speculate.
Perhaps they’re thinking if we eliminate the concepts of male and female, that will also eliminate national debate on issues like men competing in women’s sports. After all, if there are no such things as males or females, that debate becomes moot, doesn’t it?
But it doesn’t stop there. What about our faith? If there’s no such thing as male or female, do we then question whether Jesus was really the son of God, as opposed to being simply His child? The implications here are profound and deeply troubling.
Stripping parents of the right to refer to their children as “sons” or “daughters,” and replacing these identities with terms like “kid” or “child,” can clearly be seen as a brazen attempt to undermine and strip parents of their God-given authority over their children.
This isn’t just about language; it’s about who gets to define reality and ideology. It’s about erasing the distinctions that have defined humanity since the beginning of time.
If the state can control how we talk about our children, what else can it control? When the unthinkable becomes thinkable, there’s no limit to the draconian rules and precepts governments can force on society.
And what happens when that son or daughter grows up? What do we call them then? Imagine the absurdity of calling a 54-year-old man your child instead of your son.
The Vermont Health Department is suspiciously silent on that one.
Will your elderly sons and daughters be excluded from having a title in the name of inclusion? Imagine someone taking this seriously, and a coworker asks how many sons or daughters they have. How are they supposed to answer? The truth is, this so-called inclusive language doesn’t include an ounce of common sense.
This is a classic case of trying to fix something that wasn’t broken to begin with.
The Vermont Health Department claims that using terms like “child” instead of “son” or “daughter” helps children feel seen, respected, and valued—no matter how their families are structured.
But let’s be real here. Isn’t this just another attempt to blur the lines and push a radical agenda under the guise of inclusivity?
It’s clear we’re facing an all-out assault on the very fabric of our society. If we allow this to go unchallenged, what’s next? Will we be forced to abandon every term that defines who we are as individuals?
This isn’t just a Vermont issue—it’s a national one.
And to the Vermont Health Department, I say this: Come on, Vermont, stop acting like kids and children, and grow up to be the proud sons and daughters of common sense.

It’s Time to Stand: October as Christian Heritage Month
We’ve covered a lot of ground today, discussing the threats to our values and celebrating victories against the forces that seek to undermine what we hold dear.
But now, it’s time to talk about something close to our hearts—something that can unite us in a common cause for the month of October.”
Here’s a thought: What if we declare October as America’s Christian Heritage Month?
Think about it. In a time when every radical group has claimed a day, a week, or even a month to push their radical agendas, isn’t it time we reclaim a month for what truly matters—our Christian heritage?
Are we going to stand by while the sacred principles upon which our nation was built are eroded by waves of secularism and godlessness? Or will we boldly reclaim the biblical truths that have guided this country through the trials and triumphs of our history?
This October, let’s not just declare a month—we must declare a movement. A movement to reclaim our heritage, our values, and our identity as a nation under God.
If June can be Gay Pride Month, if March 31st can be Transgender Day of Visibility, and if May can even be declared as Masturbation Month—then surely, we can dedicate October to the cause of Christ and the Judeo-Christian principles that are the bedrock of this great nation!
The stakes are too high for complacency.
Our children, our grandchildren—indeed, the very future of our nation—depend on the actions we take today. October marks the beginning of the school year, and what better time to teach our children about this nation’s true history?
That’s why we’re developing a lesson plan through the Christian Action Network called Founding Fathers: America’s Christian Heritage for Kids. We must ensure our kids understand the divine hand that guided our Founding Fathers.
Let us never forget the words of Supreme Court Justice David Brewer, who declared, ‘This is a Christian nation,’ nor the wisdom of Justice George Sutherland, who affirmed, ‘We are a Christian people.’ And let us remember the powerful truth spoken by President Dwight D. Eisenhower: ‘Without God, there could be no American form of government, nor an American way of life.'”
So, I ask you, fellow patriots: Will you join us in this righteous cause? Will you stand with us as we declare to the world that America will remain a nation under God? Will you commit to making October a month of celebration, of remembrance, of revival?
