Outrage grows over ‘weaponizing’ of the DOJ to target parents

Leftists who have currently seized the U.S. government are showing a shocking double standard.

A loud crowd that chases a senator virtually into a bathroom stall to browbeat her for not voting with them is dismissed as “part of the process” and “happens to everybody.”

A loud crowd objecting to their children being masked and taught filth in school, however? They are potential terrorists and a matter for the FBI.

When leftist protesters accosted and harassed Sen. Kyrsten Sinema earlier this week, finally following her into a congressional bathroom, Joe Biden dismissed it with the words: “this happens to everybody…it’s part of the process.”

However, now that parents are exercising their First Amendment right to protest Critical Race Theory, gay indoctrination and COVID mask mandates at school board meetings, the National School Boards Association wrote a letter to the Department of Justice trying to get them labeled as terrorists.

Amazingly, the DOJ is taking steps to comply with the Sept. 29 letter, which likened parents’ objections to “a form of domestic terrorism.”

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy issued a statement on Oct. 5 in response to Biden “weaponizing” the DOJ to target parents seeking a say in their children’s schooling.

“There has been a disturbing trend in the Democrat Party that wants to silence parents, and prevent them from having a say in their own children’s education.

“Parents have a fundamental right to be lawfully involved in their children’s education. We should encourage family participation in our school systems, not baselessly attack opposing views because some liberal education officials and special interest groups see it as a threat to the power they want to have over what children learn in America’s classrooms.”

McCarthy then said that “this latest decision by President Biden is yet another example of him using his executive power to federalize every sector in our society,” adding that “he wants to use his DOJ to target American families who dare to ask questions.”

Nicole Neily, president of Parents Defending Education, an Arlington, Va.-based group formed this year, pointed out the tyrannical reaction of Merrick Garland’s Justice Department. In a statement emailed to The Associated Press she said:

It is shameful that activists are weaponizing the U.S. Department of Justice against parents. This is a coordinated attempt to intimidate dissenting voices in the debates surrounding America’s underperforming K-12 education – and it will not succeed. We will not be silenced.
