Citizen Petition To: President Donald Trump

Dear President Donald Trump,

America’s free speech rights, which are the envy of the entire world, must be protected, upheld, and remain unimpaired.

No nation has ever fought harder to defend the rights of citizens to speak freely than has the U.S. and you have asked Americans to “toughen up” in defense of Free Speech.

Our Free Speech rights have become a benchmark, a yardstick, and a gold standard for all other civilized societies to follow if they want to achieve greatness, unparalleled freedom and prosperity.

We must recognize that Free Speech is not a right reserved exclusively for those who shout the loudest, or who hold the majority of opinion, or for those in the media, Hollywood, academia, or government positions.

Free Speech Matters to all Americans, Mr. President.

In today’s troubled society, people are being shot, stabbed and killed over divided words. Many more have lost their jobs, careers, promotions and commissions.

Others have been compelled to attend sensitivity training classes and forced to accept disagreeable viewpoints. Still, others have been verbally, physically, and emotionally abused over the slightest pronouncement of a perceived offense, such as saying “All Lives Matter” or “Blue Lives Matter.”

Mr. President, I’ve heard your call to “toughen up” and defend Free Speech!

As you stated at Mount Rushmore, “Make no mistake: this left-wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the American revolution.”

  1. Freedom of speech does not mean “freedom of expression”. Freedom of speech means you are free to present your opinion in a book or a paper, on internet forums or comment sections, on billboards, or other media meant for communication as long as it is done without threats of retaliation against other people, their businesses, their homes, families, or personal property. It does not mean defacing or destroying personal or public property, interfering with other people’s programs, business, or freedom of movement.
