Pro-Family, Anti-LGBTQ, Chick-fil-A Surges Against the Hate

Chick-fil-A draws near a new success milestone that the political left hates, but conservative pro-family supporters love. This year, they’re on track to pass Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy’s and Subway to be the number-three fast food chain in America.

The backdrop to this legacy of success as a clean, efficient provider of quality chicken meals is the privately-held company’s uncompromising Christian character.

This includes a clear, firm stand for traditional family values and against sexual corruption exposed in the Bible such as homosexuality and the transgender fraud, in addition to supporting Christian causes and their famed stand against opening on Sundays.

The CFA restaurants also play music from Christian artists broadcast by local faith-based radio stations. Managers have been known to pray with customers as a matter of fellowship. Additionally, CFA is famous for helping local needy persons and causes.

The blow-back from the so-called LGBTQ left is harsh, though. They want CFA to fail. For example, liberal Noah Michelson commented in the Huffington Post that a full boycott should be imposed.

“If you care about queer people, or you yourself are queer, you have absolutely no business eating at Chick-fil-A – ever – it’s really that straightforward,” Michelson said.

Liberal universities tried clamping down against CFA, imposing bans against new stores on several campus locations. One Christian blogger noted in response to criticism that the restaurant represents hate:

Chick-fil-A “hates” gay people so much that the local franchise provided free food to those who were waiting to donate blood to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting, (in Florida) and they did all of this on a Sunday when Chick-fil-A usually is closed in observation of the Christian Sabbath.

The Chick-fil-A ministry and fellowship legacy includes praying with people such as this homeless man who was given a meal and treated as a person of dignity despite his disheveled and dirty appearance, according to Joey Mustain who witnessed the incident. (Submitted photo)

In comments recently, conservative causes warrior Eugene Delgaudio said he noticed Chick-fil-A’s genuine Christian values. The hatred against Chick-fil-A goes back more than a decade because of that witness.

According to Delgaudio, it intensified after a July 2012 interview in the Baptist Press where CFA’s president Dan Cathy made his views very clear.

Cathy popularized the scriptural line, “It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve,” during that interview, and said “guilty as charged” about being pro-family.

The response from the left factored into an August 15 attack that year at the Family Research Council offices in Washington DC.

For that attack, the shooter took 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches in a bag as part of his plan to kill as many Christians as possible and then stuff the mouths of the dead corpses with the sandwiches from the fast-food chain he hated.

it is a thing of beauty to see god working this together for good

“Would-be assassin, convicted domestic terrorist and homosexual advocate, Floyd Lee Corkins, attempted to kill me and other Christian leaders and close down pro-family Chick-fil-A in his twisted plot,” Delgaudio said.

“Thank God Chick-fil-A is successful and we are all doing fine, and thank God he is still in jail,” Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate, added.

The controversy may have helped CFA’s rise in recent years, as many millions continue to take notice – so as to ask themselves: should I be a Chick-fil-A customer?

Martin Mawyer, president of the Christian Action Network, noted that that question was not out there for Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy’s or Subway, and they’re apparently to be passed up by the Chick-fil-A juggernaut advance this new year.

“It is a thing of beauty to see God working this together for good, and it is a sure encouragement to all of us about standing firm on our Christian principles,” Mawyer said.

“Many are saying, yes, I should be a Chick-fil-A customer,” he added. “As a recent article about their success noted, ‘Chick-fil-A is on fire,’ and I say we as Christians can all be thankful to God for that.”

The fast-growing move up by the chicken-sandwich franchise is noted according to tracking data collected and analyzed by Kalinowski Equity Research.

According to reports published in December, Mark Kalinowski said CFA “has rocketed this year.” It grew by nearly eight percent, to more than 2,100 stores in 2017. Moreover, he expects the numbers for 2018 to show 15-percent sales growth.
