It’s tough being a puppet president, and mumbling, bumbling Joe Biden is taking an increasing amount of open, public abuse even from other public figures.
In a Feb. 2 speech on the House floor, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) called Biden an “inept, geriatric despot” while denouncing the U.S. deployment of 3,000 troops to Eastern Europe as tensions are ginned up between Russia and Ukraine, The Hill reports.
Cawthorn said: “Madam Speaker, the sons and daughters of America are not foot soldiers for your party’s inept, geriatric despot. They are not expendable pawns to be dispatched at the whims of an idiot, tossed carelessly around the world to Godforsaken caves and bloody sandboxes. They are Americans, worthy of honor and dignity. The only salute from them Joe Biden deserves involves one finger.”
The 26-year-old first-term lawmaker is not the first conservative figure to use the word “geriatric” to describe Biden or accuse him of being an autocrat. Ohio Republican Senate hopeful J.D. Vance tweeted last fall that “Joe Biden is a geriatric tyrant” when dissecting the president’s COVID-19 plans.
Cawthorn went on to say Biden is using U.S. troops to help feed the military-industrial money complex.
“Our greatness is forged in our resistance to interference. The war lobby has no ally in the America-first Republicans. We will preserve our strength through nationalism,” he said.
Despite being the kind of 79-year-old privileged white man that the left say they hate, Biden has insisted that he will run for re-election in 2024. He has faced questions about his age since starting his faltering, poorly attended campaign for president. Asked in September 2019 about “concerns” regarding his age and health, Biden responded to a reporter with his typical affected bluster: “What the hell concerns? You wanna wrestle?”
