Retired French generals say MILITARY RULE may be needed to combat country’s Islamic disintegration

The country of France has not handed the reins of nationhood over to Islam just yet; in a surprising development, some 20 generals retired from the French military have called for martial law if President Emmanuel Macron fails to reverse the “disintegration” of the country at the hands of unchecked immigration, political correctness and government inaction.

The appeal to save France from destruction “at the hands of Islamists” came in an open letter published ahead of next year’s presidential election in in Valeurs Actuelles, a right-wing news journal, according to

“France is in danger,” the letter reads. “Several mortal perils threaten her. Even in retirement, we remain soldiers of France and cannot in the present circumstances remain indifferent to the fate of our beautiful country.”

The letter openly states that a military coup might be necessary to stop a “civil war” in France, and has been condemned by Macron’s government, which compared it to the failed coup by generals against President Charles de Gaulle 60 years ago.

Outspoken conservative leader Marine Le Pen hailed the statement, which along with the 20 generals was signed by 80 other retired officers. The letter’s lead signer is Christian Piquemal, 80, who led the Foreign Legion before losing retired-officer privileges after being he was arrested for participating in an anti-Islam protest in 2016. The writer is Jean-Pierre Fabre-Bernadac, a former officer.

Some regions of France are actually off limits now to law enforcement, so strong is the control exerted by local Muslim leaders. The retired officers claimed that France was “disintegrating with the Islamists of the hordes of the banlieue [suburbs] who are detaching large parts of the nation and turning them into territory subject to dogmas contrary to our constitution”.

The retired officers also blasted Macron and the state for allowing brutal police suppression of “yellow vest” protesters recently — working class people standing up against crushing taxes on the middle class.

The letter chillingly claimed that the country would “explode” into civil war if “nothing was done,” and that thousands could die.
