Salvation Army says Christianity is racist wants white donors to offer ‘apology’ to blacks

The red color of those kettles in front of Wal-Mart and Target now has a whole new significance: They’re now about tearing down American institutions to appease the admitted Marxist “movement” called Black Lives Matter.

The once-venerable Salvation Army has announced that it wants its white donors to denounce themselves communist-China style this Christmas, and to apologize for being racists, the Tennessee Star reports.

Simply because they are white.

They still want white money, too, incidentally.

The charity’s Alexandria, Va.-based leadership now has an “International Social Justice Commission,” which has created a “resource” to re-educate white donors, volunteers and workers called “Let’s Talk about Racism.”

It asserts to its generous, charity-minded white Christian audience that Christianity is institutionally racist, that white Christians to repent for being white and should give “a sincere apology” to blacks for being “antagonistic … to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community.”

“Many have come to believe that we live in a post-racial society, but racism is very real for our brothers and sisters who are refused jobs and housing, denied basic rights and brutalized and oppressed simply because of the color of their skin,” one lesson explains. “There is an urgent need for Christians to evaluate racist attitudes and practices in light of our faith, and to live faithfully in today’s world.”

In the “Study Guide on Racism” that accompanies the manifesto, Salvation Army moralists reveal that all whites are racist even if many of them don’t realize it.

“The subtle nature of racism is such that people who are not consciously racist easily function with the privileges, empowerment and benefits of the dominant ethnicity, thus unintentionally perpetuating injustice,” it lectures. “We must stop denying the existence of individual and systemic/ institutional racism. They exist, and are still at work to keep White Americans in power. These systems give privileges to white people.”

The arguments are identical to those of leading “Critical Race Theory” purveyors Robin DiAngelo and Henry Rogers (a.k.a. Ibram Kendi) … whose works are now recommended by the Salvation Army.

  1. After decades of giving to what I once thought was one of the finest organizations around…DEAD TO ME. I will not be insulted, demeaned and be demanded to redress myself while handing over money. Enjoy gong broke.

  2. Isn’t it inherently racist to call out a group of people solely based upon the color of their skin? To shame someone simply because of the color of their skin? To make accusations and stereotypes against a group of people based solely upon the color of their skin?
These folk have become far more racist than any racists they claim to fight against.

Measure a person by their character, not their skin color is what I believe, but apparently that thinking too is now racist.

Common sense has no meaning for people who have no sense at all.

  3. Just apologize and be one to keep moving on to be better. What is the big deal? Ahh, yes, this is why people do not want to come to Jesus: what, moi have done anything wrong? I am a good person, you are making me feel bad about myself! No, you’re just being honest. Honesty is the best policy, right? Praise You Lord for giving US the ability to name our sins that You may cleanse us, and US! Praise You Lord that we don’t fear our sins, our neighbors, or even our own sinful nature, for You are overcome and bring US to overcome all our deficiencies.
