This story has been conveniently buried by the mainstream media but cannot be ignored any longer.
Judicial Watch, the fearless watchdog organization, has just unearthed a treasure trove of emails that should give America lots of pause for thought.
These emails have been kept from the public eye for far too long. They contain ominous warnings from senior officials of the United States Capitol Police (USCP) about what might unfold on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol.
And guess what? The warnings were chillingly accurate.
Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit demanding access to these records, invoking the common law right of access to public records. And in the documents they’ve pried out of the government’s grasp, we find a story deliberately obscured by those in power.
These emails show a sequence of events that should have set off alarm bells well before that fateful day. Yet, they remained hidden. Why?
Let’s break down what these emails reveal.
They describe a January 3, 2021 email, marked “For Official Use Only/Law Enforcement Sensitive,” detailing a “special event assessment” of the anticipated protest activity. Why wasn’t this assessment acted upon more aggressively?
Then, on January 5, 2021, emails from the USCP Chief to two board members outlined a proposed “bike rack” security perimeter for January 6. This was no ordinary security plan; this was a response to a looming threat. Did anyone take it seriously enough?
Another email from January 5th informed recipients about a “significant uptick in new visitors” to a historical website detailing Capitol tunnels. It even mentioned proposed attempts by unauthorized individuals to block members of Congress from entering the Capitol through tunnels. A warning ignored, or worse, swept under the rug?
Perhaps most disturbingly, there was an email alerting officials to an online website soliciting information on high-level government officials and their expected whereabouts on January 6th, titled “Why the Second American Revolution Starts Jan 6.” This should have been a red alert!
As the day unfolded, emails detailed President Trump’s speech at the Ellipse and the preparation of a large group to approach the Capitol. Why weren’t resources deployed more effectively at this point?
The emails also show a thread discussing evacuations and relocations of certain buildings on the Capitol Grounds on January 6th. Was there a coordinated plan in place, or was it too little, too late?
These are just some of the shocking revelations in these emails. The U.S. Capitol Police, who should have been on high alert, apparently had plenty of early warnings but didn’t act accordingly. And now, they’re trying to hide these emails behind a veil of “security information.”
And let’s not forget about Steven A. Sund, the Capitol Police Chief on January 6th, who resigned at the request of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. What does that tell us?
This isn’t about partisan politics. This is about transparency, accountability, and, most importantly, the truth. Americans deserve to know what happened leading up to that fateful day.
These emails are a vital piece of the puzzle, and Judicial Watch is doing the job the mainstream media should be doing—holding those in power accountable. It’s time to demand answers, and it’s time for the truth to come out.
