The Daily Mail – More than 180 tech, media and fashion executives signed an open letter on abortion rights, arguing that efforts to restrict abortion can be bad for business. Leading corporate entities represented include Bloomberg, Ben & Jerry’s and The Body Shop.
The letter calling on the private sector to stand up for what it described as, “reproductive healthcare,” ran as a full-page ad in Monday’s New York Times arguing that reducing access to abortion “threatens the health, independence and economic stability of our employees and customers.”
Nine states including Alabama, Georgia and Missouri passed abortion laws this year that nearly ban it. Responding, the CEOs say the crackdown is simply, “bad for business.”
