It’s a different kind of political mailing – one that exposes the truer nature of the political left.
Open supporters of President Trump in at least two small towns in New England have received menacing letters about having their homes burned down, reports the New York Post.
Police in Milford, N.H. have said they’re investigating letters sent to several Trump supporters in the small town, while authorities in nearby Brookline reported that at least two homeowners there have also gotten the threatening mailings, according to WMUR-TV.
“I was kind of quite shocked that anyone would send a letter out with that type of threat,” Brookline Police Chief Bill Quigley told the television station.
The letters read: “Dear neighbor, You have been identified by our group as being a Trump supporter.
“Your address has been added into our database as a target for when we attack should Trump not concede the election. We recommend that you check your home insurance policy and make that it is current and that it has adequate coverage for fire damage.”
The threats, which are a federal crime, have been reported to the U.S. Postal Service, but have yet to identify those responsible for them.
“I was very taken aback,” one targeted Milford resident, who asked to be identified only as Kelly, told WMUR. “This is my home. You’re not supposed to threaten my home. I’m very worried in the sense that this is going on in my town.”
