Remember when you were a child and people had freedom of speech and were not defined by their sexual preference or skin color? When politicians were public servants, the U.S. Constitution and flag were revered, and it took XX chromosomes in your body to be considered female?

Rick Scott remembers.

The Republican senator and chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee introduced his “11 Point Plan to Rescue America” on Feb. 22, and it outlines the kind of strong, free and prosperous nation conservatives are increasingly fearful they might never see again.

Scott was to appear at this week’s Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, and his published plan sets the stage. Scott wants to declare men and women biologically different, get all Americans sharing in the burden of taxes, and to re-instill some pride and dignity in the once-greatest nation in the free world.

The nation’s federal government has devolved into a cesspool of corruption, lies, sin, dishonor and degeneracy, and Scott’s plan opens with a letter predicting the derision of the people built, expand and thrive in this “swamp.”

“I’ll warn you; this plan is not for the faint of heart. It will be ridiculed by the ‘woke’ left, mocked by Washington insiders, and strike fear in the heart of some Republicans,” Scott writes. “At least I hope so.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has declined to release a broader agenda for the GOP conference if his party retakes the Senate in 2022. Scott’s plan stands a good chance of filling that vacuum, becoming the Senate GOP agenda and even the national platform if Scott runs for president in 2024 or 2028.

The first plank in the former Florida governor’s plan has children saying the Pledge of Allegiance, a simple, patriotic ritual leftists have been targeting both in classrooms and as elected officials.

Also in Scott’s plan is the elimination of questions about people’s race and demographics on government forms. “Government will never again ask American citizens to disclose their race, ethnicity, or skin color on any government forms. We are going to eliminate racial politics in America. No government policy will be based on race,” the plan states.

The plan would also strip universities of their tax exempt status and end their eligibility for federal aid if their application processes depend on skin color.

Also in the crosshairs are questions about gender identity or sexual orientation, with the statement: “Men and women are biologically different, ‘male and female He created them.’ Modern technology has confirmed that abortion takes a human life. Facts are facts, the earth is round, the sun is hot, there are two genders, and abortion stops a beating heart. To say otherwise is to deny science.”

The fiscal portion of the plan includes major changes to tax and budget policy, including a 25 percent cut of the federal workforce, a ban on raising the debt ceiling unless war is declared and requiring millions more Americans to pay federal income tax of some kind. “All Americans should pay some income tax to have skin in the game, even if a small amount. Currently over half of Americans pay no income tax,” Scott’s plan states.
