Trebek Praises Prayer for Progress but Fake News Edits That Out

Alex Trebek credited his positive treatment trends while fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer to numerous things including prayer, but CBS and NBC news reports avoided any link to a possible spiritual or religious cause. Trebek is far from full-remission or a cure, doctors warn. (CNN photo)

The Christian Post – CBS and NBC edited or ignored comments that Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek made about prayers helping his recovery, said a media watchdog group. When Trebek, diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, spoke to People Magazine, he credited prayer with playing a factor in the success of his chemo treatments.

NewsBusters reported the quote as either edited or ignored by CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News.
