Welcome to Shout Out Patriots! I’m Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network, and I want to thank you for joining us today. Your dedication to staying informed and engaged in the fight for truth and freedom is not just commendable, but crucial. It’s your active participation that keeps this great nation strong.
Today, we’re diving into three powerful stories highlighting the challenges we face as a country.
First, we’ll explore President-elect Donald Trump’s bold plan to demand $50 trillion in reparations from China for the devastation caused by COVID-19. This plan could have a profound impact on American families, and it’s critical we understand what it could mean and why it’s essential we hold China accountable.
Next, we’ll examine the case of Daniel Penny, a Marine veteran whose trial is a sobering warning for America’s Good Samaritans. Are we creating a society where standing up to protect others comes at too great a cost?
And finally, we’ll uncover the shocking truth about federal absenteeism. With only 6% of federal employees showing up to the office full-time, it’s no wonder critical government responsibilities are falling through the cracks.
We’ll ask the hard questions: Where is our federal workforce, and how can we fix this broken system?
These are big topics with even bigger implications. Let’s jump right in.
Trump Will Demand $50 Trillion in Reparations from China Over COVID-19
Do you believe it’s time for China to be held accountable for the deaths and devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic? President-elect Donald Trump does—and I couldn’t agree more.
And if you’re with me, you’re far from alone.
Millions of Americans believe it’s time to hold China accountable for the unimaginable pain and suffering COVID-19 caused—pain that shattered lives, destroyed livelihoods, and ripped apart communities.
It’s time China paid. And President Trump has promised to do just that.
Teflon Don plans to demand $50 trillion in reparations from China. That’s right—$50 trillion to address the unfathomable injuries and devastation caused by a virus that Congress confirmed originated in a Chinese lab.
But make no mistake—it won’t be easy.
You don’t need to channel Nostradamus to predict what’s coming: the elites—the media, academia, corporate boardrooms, and even some members of Congress—will do everything in their power to shield China from accountability.
They want you to forget. They want you to stay silent.
We must not let that happen.
COVID-19 wasn’t just a health crisis—it was an assault on everything we hold dear as Americans.
Over 1 million lives were lost. Children were kept out of classrooms, their education disrupted, and their futures jeopardized. Churches were shuttered, with pastors fined or arrested for defying draconian lockdowns. Small businesses were bankrupted, leaving countless families financially ruined. Mandatory face masks and forced vaccinations stripped Americans of personal freedom.
Here at Christian Action Network, we felt the pain personally. We lost our longtime accountant, Andy, to COVID. Andy wasn’t just a colleague; he was a friend for 30 years, a husband, and a father. His loss left his family grieving and our organization scrambling to avoid penalties for late filings during a national crisis.
But Andy’s story is just one of millions.
Families across America lost loved ones, faced crushing medical bills, and are still struggling to recover.
So, here’s the question: Why should China—the nation where this virus originated—get a free pass?
If China were forced to pay reparations, the impact on American families could be life-changing.
Imagine reimbursement for hospital bills, funeral costs, and lost income. Compensation for small businesses forced to close. Debt forgiveness for pandemic-related medical expenses. Subsidized healthcare for those suffering long-term effects of COVID.
This isn’t just about justice—it’s about hope—hope for rebuilding lives, hope for easing financial burdens, and hope for a future where families can recover and thrive.
And let’s not forget—this isn’t just about the pandemic. China’s anti-America actions go beyond COVID-19.
Spy balloons have gathered intelligence over U.S. military sites. Chinese-linked companies are buying farmland near critical infrastructure and military bases. Marxist ideology is being pushed through so-called “cultural exchanges” at our universities. Billions of American intellectual property have been stolen to fuel their ambitions.
Holding China accountable isn’t just about reparations—it’s about sending a clear message: America will not tolerate negligence, aggression, or contempt for our freedoms.
If we let this moment slip by, we’re letting China—and their enablers—off the hook. We’re telling them the devastation of COVID-19 was acceptable.
But if we stand firm, we’re saying: “Never again.”
This is our chance to demand justice for the lives lost, the freedoms stolen, and the livelihoods destroyed. It’s our chance to prevent another catastrophe.
Let’s stand together, let Trump make history, and let China pay. For God and country, let’s hold China accountable.
In the Case of Daniel Penny, America’s Good Samaritans Were Also on Trial
The recent acquittal of Daniel Penny, a Marine veteran who stepped in to restrain a threatening individual on a New York subway, is a victory for justice—but the questions this case raises go far beyond his courtroom drama.
It’s a story with an ominous undertone: Even if you dare to step up to protect others, you could still lose everything.
Let me briefly set the stage for holidaymakers who might have missed this story in the news.
In May 2023, Daniel Penny placed Jordan Neely in a chokehold during a subway incident. Neely, a homeless man with a history of mental illness and violent behavior, had boarded the train shouting threats like, “Someone’s going to die today!”
Passengers were terrified. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic and menacing. Penny acted to protect those around him, but tragically, Neely died.
Despite his heroic intentions, Penny faced manslaughter charges that carried a potential 15-year prison sentence. On Monday, however, a Manhattan jury acquitted Penny of all charges, affirming his innocence.
Yet, the story doesn’t end here. Neely’s family has announced a civil lawsuit against Penny—another legal battle that could financially devastate him, even with his name cleared in criminal court.
Think about what this means for everyday Americans. The fear, the uncertainty, and the financial burden that Daniel Penny is and was facing could be any one of us. It’s a stark reminder of the challenges that Good Samaritans can face in our society.
If you see someone being attacked, harassed, or threatened, do you step in? Or do you freeze, knowing that even if you act to save someone’s life, you could face not just a trial but also financial ruin from civil lawsuits?
This case is bigger than Daniel Penny’s. It shines a spotlight on a troubling reality: America’s Good Samaritans are under siege.
What happens when fear overtakes compassion? When those willing to risk their safety for others decide it’s not worth the price?
The tragic answer is that victims will be left to fend for themselves, assaulted or even killed, while potential rescuers stand by, paralyzed by the fear of legal and financial consequences.
And let’s not be naive—this isn’t just about the law. It’s spiritual warfare. Satan thrives on fear and chaos. His goal is to shred biblical principles, large and small, and make us doubt the teachings of Christ.
The Bible praises the Good Samaritan.
Jesus Himself told the parable, showing us the virtue of helping those in need, even when it’s inconvenient or risky.
But what does Satan do? He flips the narrative. He says, “Don’t get involved. You’ll regret it. You’ll lose your freedom, your savings, your future.” And tragically, many will likely listen.
Jesus called Satan a murderer from the beginning—one who does not stand in truth because there is no truth in him. That’s precisely what we’re seeing here. Satan is a murderer, and he sends out his own murderers while creating a society too afraid to resist them.
If we lose the ability to act with courage and compassion, we lose something fundamentally Christian.
Daniel Penny’s acquittal is a relief for him, but it is also a warning to the rest of us. It’s not just about what happened in that Manhattan courtroom—it’s about what happens to us when standing up for what’s right becomes too risky.
So, what’s the solution?
We need a legal system that protects those who protect others, not one that punishes them. We need to honor courage, not criminalize it. And as Christians, we must continue to stand against the fear and lies sown by the enemy.
America’s Good Samaritans have watched this case closely. And the consequences of its legacy will be felt far beyond a Manhattan courtroom.
Let’s stand for truth, courage, and the teachings of Christ. Let’s refuse to let fear dictate who we are as a people.
Hello? Is Anyone in There? The Federal Workforce Crisis
Last summer, I wrote a letter to the United States Treasury Department Inspector General requesting a meeting to explain why the agency was violating the 1974 Privacy Act by entering the names of Bible purchasers into the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s criminal database.
The Privacy Act is crystal clear: the U.S. Government cannot monitor the First Amendment activities of American citizens. Yet that’s exactly what they’re doing—tracking the names of Bible buyers as if they were criminals. I wanted answers. I wanted accountability. But you know what I got?
Nothing.
At first, I thought maybe the Inspector General just didn’t want to confront me about the agency’s blatant violations of the law. But then it hit me: Maybe they couldn’t answer because no one was there to hear the question.
Cue the Pink Floyd lyric from “Comfortably Numb”—”Hello? Is anybody in there?” Fitting. Isn’t it? Comfortably numb sounds like a perfect description of our current federal workforce.
Senator Joni Ernst’s recent report paints a chilling picture. Washington, D.C., is a ghost town. Only 6% of federal workers show up to the office full-time—that’s right—6%. Meanwhile, nearly a third of them are fully remote.
If you’ve ever wondered why the wheels of government grind so slowly, this might be your answer.
Ernst described federal buildings operating at just 12% capacity while taxpayers shell out $15.7 billion annually for leasing, maintenance, and operations. While federal employees stay cozy at home, countless Americans struggle to get the services they need.
It’s no wonder I have yet to hear back from the Inspector General. How could I, when the federal workforce treats its responsibilities like an optional hobby?
This isn’t just frustrating—it’s dangerous. Ernst’s report highlights how federal absenteeism leads to real consequences:
A whistleblower’s warning about bacteria in baby formula sat unread for months, sparking a national shortage.
A Veterans Affairs manager mocked taxpayers by snapping a photo of himself working from a bubble bath.
And while these examples might sound like the punchline to a bad joke, they highlight a culture of neglect and entitlement. Public-sector unions refuse to hold workers accountable, and the Biden administration hasn’t dared to take them on.
Even Elon Musk chimed in after reviewing Ernst’s findings, saying, “If you exclude security guards and maintenance personnel, the number of government workers who show up in person and do 40 hours of work a week is closer to 1%!”
But this is about more than empty offices and wasted dollars. It’s about the erosion of accountability and the collapse of service to the American people.
When agencies like the Treasury Department ignore legitimate concerns—like why they’re tracking Bible purchasers—it’s a sign of a much deeper problem.
The Bible teaches us that “to whom much is given, much will be required” (Luke 12:48). But what happens when those entrusted with serving the public refuse to show up?
So, let’s ask the tough questions: Where is our federal workforce? How do we fix this broken system? And how do we ensure that government workers are held accountable—not just for showing up but for delivering on their promises to the American people?
Pink Floyd had it right: “Is there anyone at home?” It’s time to find out.
That wraps up this episode of Shout Out Patriots. I want to thank you for taking the time to listen and for your commitment to staying informed on the critical issues that affect our nation.
If you found today’s episode informative or thought-provoking, please share it with your friends and family. Together, we can spread the truth and inspire more Americans to stand up for God and our country.
Until next time, stay strong, stay vigilant, and may God bless America.
