The AI Industry Is Booming and Buckling at the Same Time

A nineteenth century steam locomotive racing across a glowing silicon microchip, its heavy iron wheels pressing onto delicate circuitry lit in blue. Smoke rises from the engine as the high tech chip beneath it glows, symbolizing the danger of rapid AI expansion.
An 1800s locomotive thunders across a fragile microchip. The old world rushes forward on new foundations that were never built to carry this kind of weight.

Fortunes are predicted, but catastrophe looms like a roaring lion

Something strange is happening in the world of artificial intelligence. It is expanding, accelerating, and exploding with money and hype.

Yet at the same time, it is stumbling, shaking, and cracking under its own weight. For the first time in modern history, an industry is rising and collapsing in the same moment.

This is why you and I are watching it so closely. Not only because it will change the world, but because it already is. And the speed of this change looks less like an economic cycle and more like a sign of the times.

Today’s chaos is not an accident. It has happened before.

  1. The Railroad Mania of the 1800s

In the nineteenth century, nations believed railroads were the future. So, governments and investors shoveled money into duplicate lines, half-baked companies, and wild speculation.

The logic was simple. Lay tracks everywhere. We will sort out reality later.

The results were historic. Faster travel. National markets. A transformed world. They were also disastrous. Bankruptcies. Crashes. The Panic of 1873.

That same breathless pressure surrounds AI today. Massive data centers. Chip shortages. Labs are racing at reckless speed. The same fear-driven logic. Build now. Think later. If we do not do it, the other guy will.

AI is our new railroad. Only this time, the track runs through every school, bank, newsroom, and home.

  1. The Dot Com Bubble of the Year 2000

The internet was real. The revolution was real. The speculation was insane.

Companies with no revenue were valued in the billions because investors feared missing the next Amazon. When the bubble burst, countless firms crashed. But the technology survived. It became the backbone of modern life.

That is the pattern again. AI is transforming everything. But the money, the hype, and the valuations are outpacing reality. Layoffs and lawsuits sit beside record investments. Companies are promising the world while struggling to deliver on their promises and provide stability.

It is a real revolution wrapped in irrational behavior. That is exactly what happened before the dot-com crash.

  1. The Nuclear and Space Races

In the Cold War, both superpowers built weapons that terrified their own scientists. But they were more terrified of falling behind. That logic drove them deeper into danger. Never pause. Never question. Never slow down.

That is the logic behind AI.

Executives speak of extinction risk, misinformation, and global instability. Then they say we must accelerate anyway. China might win. Competitors might win. The race has become its own justification.

The fear of slowing down is stronger than fear of the consequences.

  1. The Headlines Prove It

Just look at what the leaders themselves are doing.

Google’s CEO warns that the AI boom carries the same irrationality that precedes every major bubble. He says no company is safe if a crash comes.

At the same time, Google is spending billions on new data centers to feed the same growth, he warns could collapse.

Peter Thiel, one of Silicon Valley’s sharpest insiders, sells his entire Nvidia position and pulls two-thirds of his fund’s equity exposure. He does not publish a warning. He does something stronger. He walks away with his money.

Financial regulators warn that AI-inflated investments could destabilize wider markets.

Energy experts warn that AI power demands will blow past climate promises that world leaders once claimed were sacred.

This is both sides of the story.
The boom and the buckle.
The triumph and the tremor.
The future and the fault line.

All happening at the same time.

  1. The Prophetic Warning Behind All of This

The deeper truth is spiritual. It is not just economic. It is not just technological. It is prophetic.

Humanity is rushing to build something it does not fully understand. Something it cannot control. Something it refuses to slow down even as the builders themselves whisper that it could be dangerous.

This is the pattern Scripture warns about.

We are watching a Tower of Babel moment unfold. Not in stone, but in code and circuits. A unified human project to reach godlike knowledge and power without asking whether God wants it built at all.

The companies know there is danger. They admit it openly. Yet they continue. The fear of losing the race is stronger than the fear of the technology itself.

That is how nations behaved in the days of Noah. They saw the warnings. They ignored them.

The global AI race has become an idol.

The world worships speed, progress, and domination. The nations compete to build a system that will shape the future of information, surveillance, finance, warfare, and human decision-making.

And the deception at the center of it all is the belief that we can control what we are creating.

Scripture tells us that in the last days, knowledge will increase while wisdom collapses. Technology will outpace morality. Power will outgrow restraint. And deception will take root in places where people once trusted truth.

That is what makes this moment prophetic.
Not because AI is evil.
But because the spirit behind it is familiar.
A spirit of pride.
A spirit of urgency without wisdom.
A spirit that believes mankind can build something bigger than God.

And so here is the warning in its clearest form:

The world is racing to build a tower out of code and circuits, and no one is seeking God’s wisdom. They are seeking only man’s greed for money, power, influence, and pride. That neglect is the real warning.

A Word for New Readers

If this kind of spiritual analysis helps you understand the world we are living in, you will see even more in my new book, When Evil Stops Hiding. It connects the rise of AI, digital deception, The Com, online chaos, and the prophetic warnings that are unfolding right in front of us.

You can find it on Amazon. And if it speaks to you, your review will help Amazon push it to others who need clarity in an age of confusion.
