Hey Disney: This Bombshell Buried in a Lawsuit Has Got to Hurt

Welcome, Patriots, to another episode of “Shout Out Patriots!” I’m Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network, and as always, I’m grateful to each of you for tuning in.

I’ve got a bombshell to discuss that’s been buried in legal documents, far away from the eyes of most Americans.

Recently, it was revealed that Disney made the shocking admission in court that it stands by the despicable views of its male actors, Pedro Pascal, and Mark Hamill, who compared supporters of President Donald Trump to Nazis.

Disney even went as far as to say it has a First Amendment right to associate itself with these absurd, hate-mongering statements, and failure to do so would hurt its image.

Well, sure, they have that First Amendment right.  But wait a second. Why would they want to? Why would Disney want to alienate 74 million Americans who voted for Trump in 2020, many of them current or former customers, by comparing them to murderous Nazis?

To understand, we need to dive deeper.

It all began when Disney, a company that prides itself on family values, resorted to firing, shaming, brainwashing, intimidating, and threatening actress Gina Carano. They forced her into several humiliating meetings with LGBTQ groups, all because she dared to express her views about the current mistreatment of conservative Americans holding traditional values.

This is a stark injustice that we cannot ignore.

The Magic Kingdom said such views were harmful to the Disney brand.

This is the same Disney that stayed silent when Pascal and Hamill made abhorrent comparisons between Trump supporters and Nazis. They hypocrisy is staggering.

What kind of crazy double standard is this?

A little over a week ago, Gina Carano said she was brought to tears when a judge ruled that her lawsuit against Disney could move forward.

Carano, with the financial support of Elon Musk, filed a discrimination lawsuit in February 2024, following her firing from the hit Star Wars series “The Mandalorian” in 2021.

The lawsuit alleges that Carano was unfairly targeted and dismissed from her role due to her conservative views, which she had expressed on social media.

Her crime?

Comparing the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany to the treatment of conservatives in modern America. Disney wasted no time in labeling her comments as “abhorrent and unacceptable,” while turning a blind eye to the offensive posts by Pascal and Hamill.

Carano’s firing wasn’t just a termination; it was a witch hunt.

She was forced to sit through a 90-minute Zoom meeting with GLAAD officials after refusing to support special rights for transgenders on her Twitter profile. Let’s call it for what it is: This wasn’t Disney promoting inclusivity; it was about crushing dissent and enforcing ideological conformity in its workforce.

Carano was even pressured to publicly apologize to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination, which she refused.

Carano told Entertainment Weekly the pressure on Disney workers to agree to ideological conformity was staggering, saying, “They point their guns at you, and you know it’s only a matter of time.” She added, “Everyone is afraid of losing their job.”

Elon Musk deserves our utmost respect and gratitude for putting his money on the line to protect Carano’s rights and fund a lawsuit that stands up for all working Americans. We should all be free to express our views without fear of being silenced or terminated.

In her heartfelt statement, Carano said, “What happened to me was unacceptable, absurd, and abusive… It should not happen to anyone else moving forward.” She praised Musk for giving her a fighting chance and standing for justice.

The court ruling by Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett was a significant blow to Disney’s legal argument. The judge disagreed with Disney’s claim that allowing Carano to remain employed would violate the company’s First Amendment right to associate itself with Pascal’s and Hamill’s views.

This ruling, while not about free speech, was a major setback for Disney’s attempts to suppress conservative voices.

Carano’s lawsuit demands that Lucasfilm recast her and pay her at least $75,000 in damages.

Disney’s actions are a chilling reminder of what happens when corporations become enforcers of ideological purity, demanding we stand together and support those who have the courage to speak out against such corporate tyranny.

Judge Denies Free Speech Rights to Who? A 7-Year-Old?

If my first segment flirted with free speech rights, well, buckle up. Now, I’m going to dive headfirst into the heart of this matter with a bit of a history lesson.

Let’s talk about when free speech rights begin, and spoiler alert—it’s not when some judge decides.

I want to make something clear: Rights are given by God. They are not handouts from governments, politicians, judges, or any man or woman.

These rights, including free speech, are ours from birth. They’re enshrined in the Bill of Rights. They are not something handed out at the whim of the powerful. In fact, they are to be recognized as inherent to every human being, regardless of age.

Now, let’s talk about the difference between liberties and rights.

Liberties are freedoms granted by the government. They can be regulated, restricted, or revoked by those in power. Rights, on the other hand, are endowed by our Creator. They are fundamental and unalienable, meaning no government, no judge, no school principal has the authority to take them away.

This brings us to a recent, deeply troubling case out of California.

US Central District Court Judge David Carter ruled that a seven-year-old girl did not have First Amendment rights. Yes, this arrogant, egomaniac judge decided that this child was too young to have the right to free speech.

This all started when a first grader at Viejo Elementary in Orange County drew a picture with the words “Black Lives Matter” but also added the words “any life” below it, meaning she felt all lives matter, not just those of blacks.

This innocent act of expressing a view held by virtually every American was promptly disciplined. She was banned from recess AND drawing pictures after a parent found her painting offensive and demanded action.

In response, the child’s parents sued the school, I’m sure expecting an easy victory and reversal of their child’s punishment.

Instead, Judge Carter ruled in favor of the school, stating that the girl’s drawing was not protected by the First Amendment due to her age.

Her age? What does her age have to do with expressing a fundamental and humane fact about life—that all lives matter?

According to the judge, elementary schools are not, and I quote, “marketplaces of ideas,” meaning that age limitations can be imposed on people trying to peddle an idea.

First off, expressing the view that all lives matter is not peddling an idea. It’s a universal doctrine that has been accepted in every Western culture for generations and preached from pulpits for centuries.

John 3:16 is abundantly clear, saying, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God values all life, and only a handful of lunatics would dare say that the lives of certain races do not matter.

What an arrogant and dangerous precedent!

Judge Carter seems to believe he has the authority to determine at what age God-given rights are bestowed upon us. This is the kind of overreach that should concern and outrage every American.

Let’s take a moment to look at history.

Consider the words of Anne Frank, whose profound diary has touched millions around the world. She was just a child, yet her words have echoed through the ages, teaching us about the horrors of war and the strength of the human spirit.

Under Judge Carter’s logic, Anne Frank could not only be silenced but punished for expressing her views simply because of her age.

This ruling is not just about one little girl in California; it’s about all of us. If we allow judges and politicians to dictate when our rights begin, we are on a slippery slope to losing those rights altogether.

Shame on Judge Carter for thinking he has the authority to decide when God-given rights apply.

This case will now head to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where, hopefully, these justices will say enough is enough. Our rights are inherent, endowed by our Creator, and no man or woman has the right to strip them away.

Growing Number of Police Departments Says FBI Can’t Be Trusted

Now, let’s move on to a damning report that was recently delivered to the House Judiciary Committee, painting a chilling picture of the FBI’s internal decay.

This report, prepared by an alliance of retired and active-duty agents and analysts, exposes what they describe as a “cult of narcissism” within the FBI that has eroded trust at every level.

As I already discussed, rights are given by God, not by governments, politicians, judges, or any man or woman. Our rights are inherent, unalienable, and enshrined in the Bill of Rights.

But what happens when the very institutions meant to protect these rights become the greatest threat to them?

Well, let’s break down this shocking report.

The report says that local law enforcement partners have developed a “disturbing loss of trust in the FBI.” This loss of trust is so severe that police officers and sheriff’s deputies are reluctant to share critical information with the FBI, creating a debilitating “blind spot” in our national security.

Let me pause for a moment and put a hammer on this nail.

Millions of illegal migrants are crossing our national borders, and we’re told the best the FBI can do is create more national security “blind spots.” Donald Trump knows a thing or two about security blind spots, and he almost paid the ultimate price. That’s what blind spots look like.

The whistleblower report draws on testimony from over 30 independent, highly credible law enforcement sources who say they no longer trust the FBI.

They believe the FBI has been operating as a partisan federal agency, motivated by a political left-wing, anti-Trump, anti-Christian agenda.

These sources are not only reluctant to work with the FBI but have stopped sharing critical information on criminal and intelligence-related activities.

The report describes the relationship between local law enforcement and the FBI as a “crisis of Confidence,” citing the FBI’s excessive response to the Capitol riot of January 6, 2021, and the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence as key triggers for their loss of trust.

A veteran sergeant from a major police force questioned why the FBI isn’t pursuing far-left militant groups like Antifa and BLM with the same vigor they used against January 6 participants.

Another veteran cop expressed fear that local law enforcement officers could be targeted by the FBI and DOJ simply for their loyalty to America.

Think about that. This is a stunning statement. Police officers fear working with the FBI because the federal law enforcement agency might target them over their patriotism.

Local law enforcement sources also suspect the FBI is using their information to violate the constitutional rights of suspects and innocent citizens alike.

One source even described the FBI’s behavior as that of a “Third World country” and suggested that the bureau should be dismantled, with its personnel prosecuted and given long prison sentences.

The head of a multi-agency task force highlighted the arrogance and condescension of newer FBI agents, who openly criticize conservative and Christian values. Another source described FBI personnel as lacking tactical skills and being generally incompetent.

The FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, has even seen conservative students hold up signs saying “STOP” in response to constant political denigration of Trump and Republicans.

The FBI’s Security Division has also been abusing the security clearance process to purge conservatives from its ranks. Clearances have been suspended or revoked for employees who expressed support for Trump or objections to COVID-19 vaccination mandates.

Chris Wray’s recent testimony to Congress that these intrusive questions were a one-off by an outside contractor is laughable. Whistleblowers, including Steve Friend, have pointed out that such questions are routine and pervasive.

The only way to restore the FBI’s reputation and repair the damage is to force Chris Wray’s resignation, perhaps even disassembling the agency.

The stakes are no less than the public’s safety and America’s national security. Judging by Democrats’ sycophantic questioning of Wray, we’ll have to wait for a Republican administration to clean house.

Corporate DEI Programs Are on Life Support

Moving on, there’s been a lot of news recently about the demise of corporate DEI programs, with headlines screaming about their downfall and pending obituaries. At this point, someone just needs to pull the plug already.

After spending millions on this initiative, Microsoft has reportedly laid off its team devoted to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This move follows a growing trend among major corporations ditching their DEI policies. Microsoft cited “changing business needs,” but let’s be real—this is a clear sign that companies are waking up to the pitfalls of these woke policies.

The Big Tech giant isn’t alone. Google and Meta also scaled back their DEI programs last year, though brushing it off as nothing but staff restructuring.

Earlier this month, tractor giant John Deere announced it would eliminate nearly all its DEI policies in favor of a merit-based workplace. That axing followed Tractor Supply, which chopped all its DEI goals and programs last month as well.

This trend is becoming unmistakable: companies are pulling back on diversity-based initiatives that were heavily pushed after the 2020 death of George Floyd and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests.

Even giants like Zoom, Snap, Tesla, DoorDash, Lyft, Home Depot, and Wayfair have downsized their DEI teams. DEI-related job postings have plummeted by 44% by mid-2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

The writing is on the wall, folks. The woke initiative is now on life support.

Microsoft had pledged $150 million to its DEI push, aiming to double the number of black and Hispanic leaders by 2025. But now, the DEI team is gone, leaving many to wonder what went wrong.

John Deere, another iconic American company, faced severe backlash from farmers and conservatives for its DEI policies. The firm sponsored a Pride event for children as young as three and embraced new-wave gender ideology.

This did not sit well with their customer base, leading to a damaging boycott. John Deere responded by dropping its DEI policies and focusing on issues directly related to its brand, such as agriculture and hunger. It was a no-brainer.

This backlash isn’t isolated. Tractor Supply, a rural retailer, also ended its DEI roles and goals. The company will end sponsorship of non-business activities like gay Pride festivals and voting campaigns and will no longer submit data to the Human Rights Campaign, a major LGBTQ+ advocacy group.

The trend is clear: American companies are retreating from DEI initiatives under pressure from conservative backlash and legal challenges.

The DEI policies have been criticized for being an irritating box-ticking exercise that often blows back on straight, white men. Critics correctly argue these initiatives are a form of reverse discrimination that unfairly targets certain groups while failing to achieve their intended goals.

While many so-called experts believed DEI initiatives were well-intentioned, they often failed to achieve their goals. Instead, creating internal division, poor-quality work, lawsuits, and customer backlash.

Just look at the Bud Light meltdown and demise.

After hiring Dylan Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as a woman, as their brand ambassador, the backlash was swift and severe. Bud Light, once America’s top-selling beer, has now officially been dethroned by Modelo Especial.

The fallout was a clear message: Americans are fed up with woke corporate policies.

So, what does this mean for the future?

It means we are entering an era where woke corporations face a critical choice: free themselves from the chains of woke policies or enter death row. Companies are beginning to realize that the dangerous, self-administered drug of virtue signaling might actually be a lethal injection, threatening their very survival.

This is a massive win for those who have been fighting against the overreach of DEI policies and the division they bring.

Trump has famously said, “Never Surrender” and “Fight, Fight, Fight.” These are words of wisdom for every American patriot.
