Penn Live – The hot-button issue of abortion sparked protests over the weekend in Pennsylvania after one health agency seemed to take aim at Planned Parenthood.
According to the Citizens Voice in Wilkes-Barre, more than 40 pro-abortion rights advocates chanted, “Keep your rosaries off our ovaries!” after the Kirby Health Center decided not to renew Planned Parenthood’s lease after 84 years in the same location.
The move comes after Planned Parenthood informed the Kirby board that it was exploring offering abortions at its center there, the Citizens Voice reports.
